Your mission

As Group Business Controller – Operations (m/f/d), you will take on a key role in the data-driven steering of the group’s operational value chain. You create transparency across all relevant areas – from procurement and production to logistics – and thereby make a significant contribution to the efficiency and profitability of the group. Through well-founded analyses, meaningful KPIs, and the continuous development of reporting standards, you support management in making informed and impactful operational decisions. 
  • You define monitor, and analyze operational KPIs - particularly in the areas of productivity, OEE, cost, and delivery performance. 
  • A key part of your role is the preparation of reports, variance analyses, and the derivation of clear and actionable recommendations for management.
  • You support production, capacity, and cost planning, contributing to the efficient steering of operational activities.
  • You conduct business case evaluations as well as investment analyses (CapEx), providing a solid foundation for decision-making.
  • As a sparring partner, you collaborate closely with plant management and operations functions, supporting key steering processes.
  • You actively drive the further development of controlling tools, dashboards, and data processes.
  • You accompany operational improvement and efficiency programs and support their sustainable implementation.
  • Your responsibilities are rounded off by contributing to the budgeting process as well as forecasting for operations and supply chain areas.

Your profile

  • You have successfully completed a degree in Controlling, Opeations Management, or a comparable qualification.
  • You bring several years of experience in controlling within a manufacturing environment – ideally with a focus on operational steering and performance measurement.
  • You are highly proficient in Excel. Experience with business intelligence or analytics tools such as Power BI is a plus.
  • You have experience in preparing and evaluating business cases and are able to analyze economic relationships in a structured and meaningful way.
  • Ideally, you have contributed to the development or implementation of controlling processes and KPI frameworks.
  • You are comfortable operating in an international environment and have a strong command of both German and English.
  • Experience with ERP systems is an advantage and helps you integrate quickly into existing structures.
  • A solid understanding of B2B business models in an industrial manufacturing context completes your profile.
  • You work in a proactive and self-driven manner, with a strong focus on quality.
  • You combine analytical thinking with a clear, solution-oriented approach.
  • You also bring strong conceptual skills and enjoy developing new structures and solutions.
  • A professional and reliable manner, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset round off your profile – particularly in working with production entities.
